Flying with a baby can be stressful at the best of times, but in this pandemic-era it’s only natural for parent’s anxiety levels to increase. Most families will be excited to get back to their normal travel experiences. While other families will be thinking about travelling with a baby for the first time. Here are some travel tips you may want to consider before your next family adventure.
We understand the struggles (and logistics!) that you face when you are flying with a baby.
CoziGo was created to make it easier for parents just like you. It is a multi-functional airplane bassinet cover.
With CoziGo your baby will get to sleep easier, stay asleep longer and give you the rest you need on a plane so you arrive as refreshed as possible.
Avoid the pain of a disrupted sleep routine with a CoziGo Airplane Bassinet Cover.
Plus, when you’re not flying CoziGo doubles as a stroller and pram sun shade cover.
TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR
Before booking your travel plans, it is best to speak with your family doctor or baby’s paediatrician. They will know your baby’s medical history and advise if they have any concerns for you to travel.
CHOOSE DESTINATION WISELY
Consider choosing somewhere you and your family feel comfortable and familiar with. Perhaps even somewhere you’ve been before if it is the first time travelling with your baby.
If something does go awry, then you will be more confident and equipped to handle the situation with your baby if you know the lay of the land.
Check the travel destination’s COVID data to ensure numbers there are low or at a manageable level
CHECK REQUIREMENTS
There are still many destinations with restrictions or vaccination requirements. Do your homework so that you know what’s required not only to enter the country but restaurants and tourist attractions.
Requirements continue to change often so make sure you check these requirements right up to your departure.
MASK WEARING
While compulsory mask wearing is slowly being phased out in many countries and settings. There is the potential for this rule to quickly change. Ensure you are ready by packing enough masks for your whole family.
Even if mask wearing is not compulsory in indoor settings, such as on planes. You may want to consider mask wearing for your family. As masks will help protect your family from airborne germs & infections. Who wants to be sick on their holiday?
If you have a toddler not used to wearing a mask, practice with them at home to help them get used to it.
It’s not possible for your baby to wear a mask, but it is still possible to help protect them from airborne germs. With the closed environment of the CoziGo, it can limit your baby’s exposure to germs and stop people touching your precious bundle. There’s nothing better than a physical barrier to discourage unwelcome interaction from strangers. It also makes for a great social distancing barrier when you are out dining, in the airport or sightseeing.
REQUEST AN INFLIGHT BASSINET
ALWAYS request a seat with an inflight bassinet if your child is under 2. These need to be pre-booked and come on a first in, first serve basis. Ask when you book your flight then confirm, re-confirm and then call again.
CoziGo fits easily over airplane bassinets, blocking light, movement and stimulation, to encourage your baby to sleep without disruption.
CREATE A COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT
CoziGo creates a cozy and safe environment for your baby when on a plane or in their pram/stoller. When your baby sleeps better it helps prevent those dreaded over-tired meltdowns; making for stress-free outings and flying.
Designed to be multi-purpose, CoziGo easily clips onto your pram or stroller. Helping you to maintain your baby's sleep routine (night or day) while waiting for flights, dining out or relaxing by the pool with safe sun cover.
PACK PLENTY OF SANITISER & WIPES
Babies and toddlers touch everything and then often put their hands in their mouths. Using baby-safe sanitiser and baby wipes to wipe down surfaces on planes, in hotels and restaurants will reduce the amount of germs your little one could potentially come into contact with.
Remember to pack toys that clip on or are harder to throw onto the floor.
PACK COVID-TESTS
If someone in your family becomes unwell, having your own supply of covid-tests will help you to quickly diagnose if it's covid or not.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
It’s always a good idea to purchase travel insurance as you just never know when someone may get sick or when an accident might occur. Check the policy with regards to cancelling or changing your trip due to illness (COVID or other). You want to ensure you have cover.
TRAVEL OFF-PEAK
For less-stress travel, book your travel for an off-peak time or day. Peak times mean more crowds, longer queues and more general travel anxiety, especially with a baby in tow.

Life changing for long-haul flights
I recommend the CoziGo to everyone. I had to take my son from London UK to Vancouver Canada three times over six months as my mother was unwell. The CoziGo meant he slept 90% of the time on all flights. Not so for all the other crying babies on those flights. The zippers meant I could easily peak in to check on him and carefully give him a dreamfeed undisturbed. I only wish I knew about it with my first child. Thank you for creating this. You are my hero!
Also, I'm a firm believer in not being housebound with napping kids. It's depressing and there's too much to do! This is the answer.
